The Lotte Giants have kept their winning percentage at five.

Lotte won the 11th game of the 2023 Shinhan Bank SOL KBO League season against LG 7-4 on 9 September at Sajik Stadium in Busan. Lotte maintained its 0.500 defence with a 1-1 record in two home games against LG.

LOTTE starter Staley faced a bases-loaded jam in the first inning, but managed to hold the visitors to just one run. She started by giving up a double to LG’s first batter, Hong Chang-ki. She then gave up a single to Moon Sung-ju, the No. 2 hitter, and Hong came home.

Strillie gave up a single to Oh and a walk to Austin to load the bases. However, she got Moon Bo-kyung to fly out to end the threat. Straylor threw 36 pitches in the first inning.

Lotte struck back in the bottom of the first. Lotte’s second batter, Yoon Dong-hee, drew a walk against LG starter Lee Jung-yong. LOTTE’s third batter, Jeon Jun-woo, singled to put runners on first and second with no outs. LOTTE tied the game at 1-1 in the fourth inning when Ahn Chi-hong singled, scoring Yoon Dong-hee after a wild pitch by LG catcher Park Dong-won and pitcher Lee Jung-yong. Ahn Chi-hong followed with a single to left-centre to bring home Jeon Jun-woo, who was on third base. Lotte took a 2-1 lead.

Straylor was once again threatened in the top of the second. Straylor walked Shin Min-jae with one out. Straylor induced an infield grounder to first base against Hong Chang-ki, but a fielder’s choice by first baseman Jeon Jun-woo put runners on first and second with Shin Min-jae safe. However, he got out of the jam by stranding the next two runners.

LOTTE scored another run in the bottom of the second inning to extend their lead to four. Noh Jinhyeok opened the scoring for Lotte. Noh led off the inning with an infield single. Son Sung-bin, who started at catcher, hit his first professional long ball to send Noh to third base. Noh Jinhyeok then scored on Hwang Sung-bin’s single.

Then, Kim Min-seok, the leadoff hitter, singled to drive in Son Sung-bin, the third baseman. Kim Min-seok stole second, and Jeon Jun-woo hit back-to-back singles to bring home Kim Min-seok. Lotte took a 5-1 lead. LOTTE made it 6-1 in the bottom of the third when Yoo Kang-nam, who started as the fifth batter and designated hitter, hit a solo shot over the left field fence. 메이저놀이터

LOTTE gave up a run in the top of the fourth inning to LG. Staley gave up consecutive singles to Park Hae-min, Shin Min-jae, and Hong Chang-gi. LOTTE started its offence in the bottom of the fourth, 6-2.

LOTTE sent Lee In-bok to the mound in the fifth inning with Staley on first and second base. He gave up two runs to LG to cut the deficit to 6-4, but they scored one more run in the bottom of the sixth to regain the lead at 7-4.

Lotte sent Choi Jun-yong to the mound in the seventh inning. Choi gave up a single up the middle to leadoff hitter Moon Bo-kyung. However, the Lotte catcher was Son Sung-bin. With the bases loaded and Moon stealing second, Son made another laser throw to end the inning.

LOTTE closed out the game in the ninth inning when Kim Won-joong struck out three LG batters.
