The Chungju Apple Cup 2023 National Youth Soccer Club Festival was held at the Chungju Youth Soccer Field in Chungju, Chungcheongbuk-do, Korea, on the 27th and 28th of this month. With 85 teams from across the country participating in the festival amidst intense interest and love, the festival, the largest soccer club festival of its kind, came to a successful conclusion in Chungju, Chungcheongbuk-do.
On the 28th, the second day of the festival, the senior division (4th grade, U12, and mom division) matches were held. Although it rained from the morning, it did not stop the enthusiasm of the players, and the mothers’ matches were also quite competitive, and there was no end of laughter at the soccer festival.
During the festival, the Chungju Volunteer Center prepared various experience programs such as parking service, balloon art, POP handwriting, socks, and woodworking, so that not only the players but also their siblings and families who participated in the tournament could achieve the purpose of the festival through various experiences.
The city of Chungju has established itself as a center for adult soccer, and the ‘2023 Chungju Apple Cup National Youth Soccer Festival’ was organized by the city and the Chungju Football Association to attract attention as a host for various types of soccer tournaments and festivals, which the city is trying to do in a new way to build and develop youth soccer infrastructure.
SH Sports Agency (CEO Moon Sung-hwan), a total sports marketing company and the organizer of the festival, organized and hosted the ‘2023 Chungju Apple Cup National Youth Football Club Festival’ by adding a mom division (mothers with soccer players and Korean mothers with children) to the existing kindergarten, first grade, second grade, third grade, fourth grade, and U12 divisions.
In addition to soccer, we also prepared promotional marketing to develop and promote tourism products such as various attractions, food, and things to do in the Chungju area in connection with ‘sports culture tourism’ and contribute to the revitalization of the local economy.
The game method was a unified 12-minute game, with 7-on-7 matches for elementary school students and 5-on-5 matches for kindergarten students and moms. On the 27th, the Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade games were held. On the 28th, the 4th grade, U12 (combined 5th and 6th grade), and moms competed.
Various awards were given to the winner, runner-up, joint third place, fair play team, best coach, best coach, best player, and best player, and the prize money was given as a gift certificate to Chungju as a way to revitalize the local economy (300,000 won), runner-up (200,000 won), and joint third place (100,000 won).
