Ronaldo, 38, helps Al Nasr tear ACL after 3 years!

Cristiano Ronaldo (38) took advantage of a bad call to record an assist. His team, Al Nasr FC, also won.

Saudi Arabia’s Al Nasr FC defeated United Arab Emirates’ Shabab Al Ahli Dubai FC 4-2 in the final qualifying round of the Asian Champions League (ACL) on Wednesday at King Saud University Stadium in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Al Nasr reached the ACL knockout stage for the first time in three years, while Al Ahli were eliminated from the competition.

On the day, Al Nasr was trailing 1-2 until the 43rd minute, when they were on the verge of elimination. Al Nasr’s Ronaldo was also on the receiving end of some bad calls. In the 45th minute, his bicycle kick was blocked by an opposing defender with his arm, but no penalty was awarded. In the 47th minute, he was tripped by an opposing defender’s foot, but play continued.

Al Nasr came back from the brink in the 42nd minute when Sultan Al Ghannam equalized. Andersson Talisca pulled one back in the 49th minute and Marcelo Brozovic’s 51st-minute winner sealed the win. Ronaldo picked up an assist on Brozovic’s goal.

Al Nasr will now go on to win the ACL this season. If Al Nasr reaches the final, and a K League team does as well, we could be looking at a Ronaldo vs. K League matchup. 스포츠토토
