“It’s no longer a relationship” Tottenham’s ‘Samgochorry’ fails to sign again… Barça MF choice goes to Saudi Arabia

It’s not a “relationship” at this point.

Tottenham’s third signing, Barcelona’s Franck Kessie, 27, will be based in Al Ahli, Saudi Arabia. Al Ahli announced the signing of Kessie on Tuesday (ET). The deal is for three years.

“The Saudis have agreed to pay a transfer fee of £10.8 million to secure the services of Kessie, who has been linked with Tottenham and Liverpool,” the UK’s Daily Mail reported on the same day. Kessie becomes the fifth player to join Al Ahly from Europe, joining Riyad Mahrez, Roberto Firmino, Edouard Mendy, and Alain Saint-Maximin.

Kessie was Antonio Conte’s first signing after taking charge of the Blues. The former AC Milan man had refused to renew his contract and was set to leave Serie A on a free transfer.

However, his destination of choice was Barcelona. There was another twist. Kessie’s adjustment to La Liga was not easy. Conte tried to sign Kessie in the winter transfer window in January this year. The transfer fee was £13 million (approximately $214 million).

However, Kessie once again refused. The deal fell through as he wanted to stay at Barcelona. Kessie made 28 appearances in La Liga last season, but only seven starts 먹튀검증.

Barcelona put Kessie on the market once again this summer. Tottenham are once again in the mix. Italian giants Juventus have also shown interest in Kessie.

Kessie has said that if he were to stay in Europe, it would be Tottenham, but his choice is to go to Saudi Arabia. A prolific midfielder, Kessie boasts strong defense, high passing accuracy, and excellent ball-keeping. Tottenham have had another ‘bitter pill’ to swallow.
