Suwon FC announced that Park Joo-ho will finish his professional career with a home game against Ulsan Hyundai on the 6th and move on to his second life.
Park joined K League 1 Ulsan in 2018 after playing in Japan and Germany, starting with Mito Hollyhoe in the J2 League in 2008, and moved to Suwon FC in 2021. The retirement match will be held on June 6, coincidentally between Ulsan (2018-2020) and Suwon FC (2021-2023), with Park wearing his number 6.
Park said, “I would like to thank the many fans who have supported me so far. Thanks to their love and interest, I was able to get to this point, and I couldn’t be happier as a soccer player. My life as a soccer player will end here, but I will continue to repay the love of my fans,” he said, expressing his thoughts on his upcoming retirement.
Before the game, Park’s retirement ceremony will be held. In addition to watching videos of his K League career, Suwon FC owner Lee Jae-jun, Suwon Special Mayor, will be present to present a plaque of appreciation, a plaque of appreciation from Suwon FC supporters and a commemorative picture frame from Ulsan Hyundai, and the player’s family will present a bouquet of flowers.
