‘General-Dog Show’ T1 dominates Ops and Hanta to defeat KT in 2 sets, tie the series at 1-1

As expected, it was a carrier rivalry match. After KT Rolster dominated the first game, T1 did the opposite in the second game. It was a case of ‘General-Mungun’. Unlike their lethargic performance in the first set, T1 overwhelmed KT from the start and turned the game around.

T1 won the second set in 26 minutes against KT in the second round of the ‘2023 LoL Champions Korea (LCK) Summer Season Playoffs at Roll Park in Jongno-gu, Seoul on Tuesday to even the set score at 1-1.

T1 literally came out firing. It was a far cry from the first set. T1 jumped out to an early lead at the start of the game, getting solo kills from Moon “Curse” Woo-chan in the jungle and Woo-je “Zeus” Choi “Gi-in” Kim in the top lane. T1 quickly made the kill score 3-0. In the seventh minute, Moon “Owner” Hyun-jun picked up another kill through the top gang. 안전놀이터

Needing a breakthrough, KT tried to take the top lane with a three-man Top Gang, but was stopped by a superplay. Instead, they gave up two kills to T1, making the kill score 6-1. At around 12 minutes, a one-hit engagement took place in front of the dragon, and T1 won. The gold gap between the two teams was over 6000.

T1 had the upper hand after a successful early pressure. However, KT was not the No. 1 team in the regular season for nothing. In the 14th minute, they scored through the mid-gang, catching Lee “Kumayushi” Min-hyung and Moon “Hyun-joon” Moon.

T1 was in no hurry to respond. They took advantage of the initiative and effortlessly built a third dragon stack around the 18th minute. KT ran a side operation to build up their strength and succeeded in closing the gold gap to around 4000. At around 20-minutes, T1 hit the baron to draw KT in and open up an engagement, but it ended with two kills exchanged.

At around 23-minutes, T1 won a massive skirmish in the mid lane and cemented their victory with a Baron and a fourth Spirit Dragon. With momentum on their side, T1 pushed through the bottom and into KT’s main lane, destroying the nexus at 26-minutes to level the game at 1-1.
