Toronto Blue Jays Jose Berrios (29) struggled for the second straight game, dropping his 10th loss of the season.

Toronto lost 4-5 to the Washington Nationals on Tuesday (June 30) at Rogers Centre in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Berrios took the loss, allowing five runs on six hits (two homers) with two walks and two strikeouts in six innings. Berrios, who came to Toronto via trade, signed a seven-year, $131 million extension after the 2021 season. Toronto pulled within one in the bottom of the seventh when Kevan Biggio singled and stole second and Schneider followed with an RBI double. In the eighth, Danny Jansen singled and Alejandro Kirk doubled to put runners on second and third and scored on a wild pitch.
